Eyeliner Reviews

My favourite eye product is eye liner because there are so many ways to apply it. I usually apply it with a nude eye shadow as it makes my eyes stand out nicely. This blog is on my three eyeliners which I love to use and hopefully you will too.

Natural Collection Liquid Eye Lines (Boots £1.99)

This is the cheapest eye liner I have but it is quite good for what you pay. The product stays on your eyes well and is smudge resistant.

Due to it being a liquid eyeliner, it is quite runny and can be quite tricky to apply. The brush is also very long so it is hard to steady your hand.
Overall, I think that this eyeliner is a cheaper alternative to other liquid liners but still maintains the same quality. I think that it is worth buying but may require some practice to achieve the look you want.

Rimmel London 'Scandal Eyes' Thick and Thin eyeliner (Superdrug £5.49)

I really like this eyeliner as it is like a pen which means it is a lot easier to use and apply. There is less mess and you are more likely to achieve your desired look with less tries. Another good thing is that it is waterproof which is always useful when you are out and about. However this does make it quite difficult to take off.
I don't like how the liner is quite stiff and is hard for the colour to come out so you have to go over it a few times. I probably wouldn't recommend this product unless you want to do really thin eyeliner which is what it is perfect for. There are some better quality products with a very similar price which would be worth buying instead.

Maybelline 'Master Precise' Liquid Eyeliner (Superdrug £5.99)

This was the eyeliner I brought as an alternative to the Rimmel one and it is 10 times better. Again it is a pen but the eyeliner is a lot looser and comes out a lot easier.
This is my current favourite as it is quick and easy to apply. Plus it is a lot more practical. It has an ultra fine tip which makes it super easy to get your eyes how you like them.
I definitely would recommend buying this product as it is not too expensive and does the job well. I will definitely be re-purchasing!

I hope this blog helped and if you have any good eyeliners please let me know and I will try them out!

The Lion King Review

I recently went to London for a day out with my Nan, I was so excited as London is one of my favourite places. There is so much to see and do!

I got the train up to London Waterloo then got the tube to Covent Garden. While we were there, we wondered around the markets and watched the street performers.

At 2:00pm, we were let in to the Lyceum Theatre for the 2:30pm showing of 'The Lion King'. I have never seen a London show before but I had seen a lot of reviews and had high expectations. Safe to say, 3 rows from the front, I was not disappointed!

I knew 'The Lion King' story so I knew what was going to happen. However the way the actors/actresses adapted it was amazing. I was particularly impressed by the costumes and the way each animal walked and had the characteristics you would imagine.

The whole atmosphere of the performance was incredible and it left you feeling uplifted and wearing a smile. There were laughs, singing and a lot of saying 'wow'!

I would highly recommend going to see this show. It is being shown in London and New York. It is a loveable show fit for the whole family.

Just a heads up, the songs will get stuck in your head!

Summer Essentials

Summer can be a very busy, fun and exciting season. Especially if you are going on holiday or just having fun day outs with your family/friends.

Although summer is nearly over, here are my summer essentials making sure I am prepared for whatever the days might bring.

Sun-cream

It may sound a bit obvious, but it is incredibly important to wear sun-cream when you are out and about in the sun. If you are somewhere hot or just sat on the beach, make sure you put it on. Remember, you can still get a tan with sun-cream on, it just stops you from being burnt!

Sunglasses

I love wearing sunglasses as i feel like it adds more to my outfit. I recently brought these round black sunglasses from New Look as I was going on holiday. I love them!
While on holiday in America, my dad brought me these red spotty ones which i love because they are quite quirky and stand out a lot more.

Concealer

During summer, I don't tend to wear much makeup as I feel like it is too heavy on my face, especially when it is hot. So I usually stick to a bit of concealer just to cover any blemishes. This is a lot lighter on my face and I only apply to the places i need too, a much more natural look. The concealer I have be loving at the moment is the 'Hide and Conceal' concealer by MUA. This is a great product as it is very cheap but does the job well, I would recommend it.

Victoria Secret fragrance mist

I love wearing fruity body mists in summer. They smell so nice and you are able to top up as much as you like. These two are some of my favourites, I brought them whilst on holiday in America. They aren't overpowering and they stay on for the whole day (depending on how much you spray.) The pink one is called 'Mango Temptation' and the blue one is called 'Aqua Kiss'

Daisy Marc Jacobs

Although I love body mists, when I am dressing up to go out, or for a special occasion, I will wear perfume. My favourite perfume brand is Marc Jacobs, the bottles are always so pretty and the scent stays on you for the whole day. I recently got 'Daisy Delight' it is quite sweet and i love it!

Lipbalms and Body Lotion

As summer can be quite hot, you skin can dry out quite easily, this is why it is important to keep your skin moustirised. Lipbalms are important as they stop your lips going dry and chapped which can hurt a lot! Keep a lipbalm handy in your bag so you can use it when you need too. My favourite lipbalms are EOS and BabyLips these are really good and not that expensive either. I really like BabyLips as some of them contain a hint of colour so it looks like I am wearing a lip gloss while keeping my lips protected. Moustirising your skin with body lotion is also important as it stops your skin becoming dry and peeling. My current favourite body lotion is by Soap and Glory. It smells so nice!

Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitisers

I always love keeping my hands clean and soft so when I found these cute little hand sanitisers in Bath and Body Works, I fell in love. They had so many smells to choose from, it was hard to decide. In the end I got 'Aqua Blossom', 'Eucalyptus Spearmint' and 'Japanese Cherry Blossom'
I just thought they were really nice to keep in my bags and use when I'm out and about. These are really good for summer as you never know what you are doing or when one of these might come in handy!

Enjoy your summer!
