Guildford trip + Airhop UK review...

During half term, my friends and I decided to have a girly day out in Guildford. I have never been before but I was looking forward to going somewhere new and just hanging out with my friends. We took the train up there which was about an hour long, it went really quickly and was very scenic.

The main reason for going to Guildford was to go too Airhop. A trampolining place where you can play basketball and dodgeball on trampolines. There is the main court for just normal bouncing and a foam pit for jumping into. It was a lot of fun and a good way of getting some exercise too. The price is £11.50 for an hour, for the first time you go as you get some non-slip socks. After that, it is £10 as you keep the socks. It is not too expensive for what you are getting, you are guaranteed a space on the trampoline and guaranteed to have a good time. I would recommend booking it as it is very busy and spaces fill up fast. A good thing about Airhop is that it is walking distance from the train station and is very close to the town centre, this is good if you want to make your trip more of a day out.

After we had tired ourselves out from Airhop, we decided to go for a browse round the shops and have a frozen yoghurt from Snog. Again, it was my first time having a froyo so I didnt quite know what to expect. I had chocolate yoghurt with brownie pieces, oreo and chocolate sauce. I was going to have the original flavour but the machine was broken. They had such a wide range of toppings, it was hard to decide which one to go for. They had lots of healthy options too, but me being me, I went for the unhealthy option. Too be honest, the Snog was nice, but nothing special, it just tasted like ice cream.
Once we had finished browsing the shops, and I had finished hugging the mad hatter, we got our train back home. I really enjoyed my day out and I will definitely be returning to Airhop as it was so much fun.
I hope you enjoyed this slightly different blog post.

Simple Skincare Review...

I have heard so many good things about Simple Skincare so I thought I would try out some of their products. Simple are very good for your skin as they don’t use any nasty harsh chemicals, instead it is all natural, leaving your skin very refreshed.

You can pick these products up from most drugstores and some supermarkets too, I got mine from Superdrug. They are not too expensive, so won't break the bank!

The first product I tried was the simple make up remover wipes. The first thing I noticed was how wet the wipes were, yes that does sound odd as they are supposed to be wet. However, some make up wipes can be very dry which makes it very difficult to remove all of your makeup, but with these ones it’s easy. After you have removed the makeup, your skin feels moisturised and clean. It definitely does the job well!

The next product I tried was the Simple kind to skin vital Vitamin Foaming cleanser, this is good to use after you have removed your makeup with the wipes. The first time I used it, I wasn't too sure whether I would like it or not as it doesn't have much too it. It just creates white foam and has a very faint scent. However, I did notice how soft my skin felt after I had used it. To use the product, you simply wet your face with water, then massage in the foaming cleanser and wash off after. It cleans your face and makes sure you have no makeup left on. It is also really good with reducing pores and stopping your skin from getting too oily. After you have used it, your skin feels deeply cleaned and very soft.

The big change I noticed after using these products, was how nice my skin looked and felt. After just a few days, I noticed my skin not having as many breakouts compared to before and looking more radiant. I am definitely going to be trying out some more Simple Skincare products after loving these so much. If you have used any of their products or have tried similar products please leave them in the comments, I would love to try them too!

3 lip balms I have been loving...

3 lip balms I have been loving…

During the winter months, your lips are more likely to get dry and chapped. Using lip balms on a regular basis can help prevent this, here are a few of my favourites.

Eos

I really like these lips balms due to how soft they are and how soft they make your lips feel. They are really smooth, easy to apply and work well for a long time without the need for constant reapplication. The shape of them makes them really unique. They come in a variety of flavours, I have; mint, summer fruit and clementine. They all smell so nice! I got mine in America but you can buy them in certain Topshop stores or you can order them online from eBay or amazon.

Baby Lips

These are the first lip balms I fully fell in love with, I have got almost all of them. What I like most about baby lips is the huge variety they come in, they have different collections which do different things. I really like Baby Lips Dr Rescue as they are really good for chapped lips in the winter and some of them also leave some colour on your lips too. These lips balms are not too expensive so are worth buying.

Vaseline

I have never been too keen on Vaseline lips balms because you have to put the Vaseline on your finger to be able to apply it, leaving you with a slightly greasy finger. However, I had never fully tried them until this Christmas. I have the original Vaseline, the Rosy Lips and aloe vera. They all have different scents and the rosy lip one also leaves you lips slightly pink. They are super moisturising and can also be used on dry skin too.

Thanks for reading!

January 2015 Favourites

A few of my favourite products from January – enjoy!

Glazed Apple body butter – Body Shop (no longer available)

Everyone loves body butter to make their skin feel beautifully soft and nourished. To me, the Body Shop is the best place to go to get them. They have so many scents to choose from, it can be hard to pick. I got a glazed apple one for Christmas which smells really sweet and leaves a nice scent on the skin. Unfortunately, this is a Christmas collection only so you have to wait until next year to get it. However, I would also recommend mango or Shea body butter which is £13 but is stocked all year round.

Rub, Rub, Rub – Lush £8.75

I talked about this product in my previous blog post about my Lush favourites but I couldn't miss it out of my January favourites due to how much I love it! This scrub leaves your skin super soft and smelling good.

Ankle Boots - New Look £27.99

I love wearing boots in winter and I especially love ankle boots. I got these ones for my birthday and I love them so much. They have a heel on them and have three little buckles going up the side. What I like most about these shoes is that they have cut outs, this is great if you are wearing cute little socks as you can see part of them too. These boots are super versatile and going with any outfit, whether that be an everyday casual look or a going out smart look. New Look always have really nice shoes, so I would recommend you check them out!

Taylor Swift 1989 - Amazon £14.17

I was never that into Taylor Swift, but after hearing a couple of her latest singles on the radio, I decided to buy her album. Safe to say, I'm obsessed with it! Every single song is super catchy and easy to sing along too. It is hard to choose, but I would say my favourite songs from the album are; Bad Blood, Style and Out of the Woods.

Cranberry Body Mist - Asda £3.00

I love fruity fragrance mists, as they leave you feeling fresh and smelling sweet. My current favourite is this Cranberry one by NSPA, available at ASDA. It smells really sweet and lasts a long time on your clothes/skin. I have also had the Mango mist which smells equally as nice. When I got the mist, I also got the moisturiser which leaves me skin soft and replenished.

Lush Favourites - January 2015

Lush Favourites - January 2015

For my birthday, I got a lot of Lush products which I was super happy about - they all smell amazing! So I thought I would share with you some of my favourites that you might like too!

1. Rub, Rub, Rub (shower scrub)

Out of everything I got given, this is my number one favourite - I am obsessed with it! It is a shower scrub which you rub all over your body and then wash off, clearing dead skin and leaving your skin very soft and smooth. You can also use it in your hair to add volume. The scrub is enriched with Sea Salt which is mineral rich and has a lot of benefits for your skin. It has a sweet indescribable smell that leaves a subtle scent on your skin. If you were to get anything from this list, get this one! I will certainly be going back to Lush to stock up on some more!

2. The Comforter Bubble Bar

A blackcurrant scented bubble bar which leaves your bath and body under a foamy blanket and smelling wonderful. Simply crumble this under a running tap and watch the bubbles take over your bathroom. This turns your bath pink and smells delicious, leaving you very relaxed. The good thing about bubble bars is that you can get more than one bath out of them, making them more worth your money.

3. Sympathy For The Skin

This hand and body lotion is another must have! Bananas mashed together with cocoa butter, almond oil and vanilla make up this delightful little lotion. It leaves even the driest of skin beautifully nourished, soft and smelling lovely. Definitely worth the buy!

4. Red Fun

At first I was unsure whether I would like this product or not, but after a couple of baths I knew it would make this list. This versatile product can be used for almost anything; solid shampoo, bubble bar or a soap. This product comes in a variety of scents however this one smells of orange and mandarin.

5. Miranda

My final favourite is a soap called Miranda which is made out of Kiwi and citrus essential oils. Everyone loves a good soap, and I think Lush is probably the best place to go too get them. Yes they are a bit more expensive than supermarket soaps but you get better quality and a wider range to choose from.

Another good thing about Lush is that they are against animal testing meaning you can buy everything you want without being worried about what the product could have harmed. I hope this post gave you some ideas of what products to look out for when you are next in Lush. Thanks for reading!

Eyeliner Reviews

My favourite eye product is eye liner because there are so many ways to apply it. I usually apply it with a nude eye shadow as it makes my eyes stand out nicely. This blog is on my three eyeliners which I love to use and hopefully you will too.

Natural Collection Liquid Eye Lines (Boots £1.99)

This is the cheapest eye liner I have but it is quite good for what you pay. The product stays on your eyes well and is smudge resistant.

Due to it being a liquid eyeliner, it is quite runny and can be quite tricky to apply. The brush is also very long so it is hard to steady your hand.
Overall, I think that this eyeliner is a cheaper alternative to other liquid liners but still maintains the same quality. I think that it is worth buying but may require some practice to achieve the look you want.

Rimmel London 'Scandal Eyes' Thick and Thin eyeliner (Superdrug £5.49)

I really like this eyeliner as it is like a pen which means it is a lot easier to use and apply. There is less mess and you are more likely to achieve your desired look with less tries. Another good thing is that it is waterproof which is always useful when you are out and about. However this does make it quite difficult to take off.
I don't like how the liner is quite stiff and is hard for the colour to come out so you have to go over it a few times. I probably wouldn't recommend this product unless you want to do really thin eyeliner which is what it is perfect for. There are some better quality products with a very similar price which would be worth buying instead.

Maybelline 'Master Precise' Liquid Eyeliner (Superdrug £5.99)

This was the eyeliner I brought as an alternative to the Rimmel one and it is 10 times better. Again it is a pen but the eyeliner is a lot looser and comes out a lot easier.
This is my current favourite as it is quick and easy to apply. Plus it is a lot more practical. It has an ultra fine tip which makes it super easy to get your eyes how you like them.
I definitely would recommend buying this product as it is not too expensive and does the job well. I will definitely be re-purchasing!

I hope this blog helped and if you have any good eyeliners please let me know and I will try them out!

The Lion King Review

I recently went to London for a day out with my Nan, I was so excited as London is one of my favourite places. There is so much to see and do!

I got the train up to London Waterloo then got the tube to Covent Garden. While we were there, we wondered around the markets and watched the street performers.

At 2:00pm, we were let in to the Lyceum Theatre for the 2:30pm showing of 'The Lion King'. I have never seen a London show before but I had seen a lot of reviews and had high expectations. Safe to say, 3 rows from the front, I was not disappointed!

I knew 'The Lion King' story so I knew what was going to happen. However the way the actors/actresses adapted it was amazing. I was particularly impressed by the costumes and the way each animal walked and had the characteristics you would imagine.

The whole atmosphere of the performance was incredible and it left you feeling uplifted and wearing a smile. There were laughs, singing and a lot of saying 'wow'!

I would highly recommend going to see this show. It is being shown in London and New York. It is a loveable show fit for the whole family.

Just a heads up, the songs will get stuck in your head!
